This is a circular walk which starts and finishes at the national trust car park at new bridge, midgehole, just to the north of hebden bridge. It is clear why for the walk appeals to all grades of walkers with much of it on national trust land. The name ‘crags’ doesn’t actually refer to ‘steep cliffs’ but to the stacks of millstone grit which are a part of.
Located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north of hebden bridge and 10 miles (16 km) west of halifax in west yorkshire is hardcastle crags.
