Kings Canyon Walks Map

Feel inspired by the soaring sandstone walls of kings canyon in australia's red centre. On days when the temperature forecast is 36 celsius or above, you must start the walk before 11am. If the temperature is forecast to be over 36 degrees, access to the rim walk closes at 9.00am.

There is a preference for all hikers to walk one way, to relieve congestion. This is a popular trail for hiking and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The roaring river falls trail offers the most bang for your buck!

The walk starts with a steep climb to the south wall of kings canyon leading to stunning views.

The first part of the walk is the most difficult, with a 500 step incline to get you to the top (this part of the walk is roughly 100 metres long), but after that things get a little bit easier.
